Is the CD-ROM drive data cable connected properly to the base unit?
Action:
Make sure that the data cable connecting the CD-ROM drive to the computer is properly attached to the computer and the CD-ROM drive.
NOTE: If the CD-ROM drive is a external SCSI device, there maybe two cables attached to the drive unit. Make sure that both cables are properly attached to the drive unit and what ever other device the cables are connected to.
